Heyce Technologies FZE, a biometric security manufacturer, delivers hardware and software solutions to a global customer base. To ensure seamless service delivery, their infrastructure required a broad surface area of open ports—introducing security risks and creating operational overhead.

Before Pomerium, Heyce’s infrastructure relied on an open-port model that exposed their network, consumed unnecessary resources, and made customer access difficult to manage.

  • Open Ports, Open Risks: Dozens of exposed TCP/UDP ports left the network vulnerable.

  • Heavy Antivirus Load: Every VM needed antivirus software, draining resources and driving up operational costs.

  • Broken URL Management: SSL was inconsistent. Retired ports couldn’t be reused, causing increased manual work, confusion, and clutter.

While researching reverse proxy solutions, Sandeep discovered that Pomerium would allow him to manage everything through a user-friendly web console and secure access with identity-based routing.

Heyce Technologies immediately integrated Pomerium as a central access layer across their infrastructure. Their primary use case? Custom routes as reverse proxies with automatic SSL, all configured through the Pomerium console.

With Pomerium in place, Heyce Technologies closed all non-essential ports, implemented token-based authentication, and standardized every customer-facing URL with HTTPS.
