Our mission is to help organizations implement modern, secure access policies that improve security and productivity. We are a fully remote company, hiring throughout North America and open to candidates in most countries within this region.

The Role

We are hiring a Solution Engineer to serve as a technical expert during customer-facing interactions, guiding prospects and customers through architecture discussions, implementation best practices, and successful onboarding. You’ll work closely with the Sales and Support teams to ensure technical alignment across the entire customer lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for prospects and customers during evaluations, pilots, and implementations.

  • Answer complex architecture and infrastructure questions about Pomerium, particularly around Zero Trust, Identity-Aware Proxying, and secure access to internal services.

  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market team to scope solutions, deliver technical demonstrations, and influence deals.

  • Lead technical onboarding sessions and support initial implementation of Pomerium products.

  • Bridge the gap between product and customer by translating business needs into technical requirements.

  • Provide product feedback to engineering and product management based on real-world customer usage.

  • Occasionally assist with high-priority support escalations and guide issue resolution.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or a customer-facing engineering role.

  • Strong grasp of authentication, authorization, and identity protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other cloud-native technologies.

  • Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical topics to both engineers and decision-makers.

  • Comfort working in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with reverse proxies, Zero Trust architectures, and identity-aware access tools.

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).

  • Knowledge of Envoy proxy or similar service meshes.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary and equity that reflect your skills and experience.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Work remotely from anywhere in the world. Must be primarily located in the US.

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health benefits and generous PTO.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for learning, training, and attending industry conferences.

  • Meaningful Impact: Shape the future of secure access and make a difference in cybersecurity.

If you’re excited to be part of a fast-growing security company and help shape the future of access control, we’d love to hear from you!
