Location: Remote

Job Type: Full Time

Department: Sales

About Pomerium

Pomerium is an identity-aware access proxy that enforces context-aware policies to secure internal applications and infrastructure. We provide secure, clientless access to web-based and TCP resources—without sacrificing user experience or developer productivity. As a key player in the Zero Trust and agentless access ecosystem, we support enterprises seeking modern alternatives to legacy VPNs, ZTNA, and PAM tools.

We’re scaling our GTM function and looking for an Enterprise BDR to be an early, foundational member of our sales team.

The Role

As an Enterprise BDR, you’ll be responsible for outbound prospecting into enterprise accounts, qualifying inbound interest, and helping accelerate early-stage pipeline. You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Solution Architecture to identify high-value prospects, deliver relevant messaging, and secure meetings with key decision-makers—including CISOs, platform teams, and security architects.

You will be measured on your ability to consistently generate sales-qualified opportunities and contribute to pipeline growth in our strategic accounts.

What You'll Do

  • Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation

    • Research and identify target accounts aligned with Pomerium’s ICP (e.g. organizations replacing VPNs, Zscaler, or Privileged Access tools)

    • Execute personalized outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, phone) tailored to engineering and security stakeholders

    • Book introductory meetings for AEs with qualified prospects

  • Inbound Lead Handling

    • Triage and respond to inbound demo requests and content-driven leads within SLA

    • Route and schedule meetings with appropriate sales team members

  • Account & Market Research

    • Surface key account insights, pain points, and signals (e.g., recent breaches, hiring, or tool migrations)

    • Identify trends within security tooling ecosystems (e.g., Envoy, Agentic, Kubernetes, ZTA frameworks)

  • Collaboration & Feedback Loops

    • Work with Marketing on messaging experiments and persona-based outreach

    • Collaborate with Sales and Product to ensure market learnings are captured and shared

    • Maintain detailed activity and engagement records in the CRM

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or Sales Associate role—preferably at a developer-first, security, or infrastructure company

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple outreach threads simultaneously

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, access control, or infrastructure security concepts a plus

  • Comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and prospecting platforms (e.g., Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)

  • Self-motivated, curious, and excited to engage technical buyers

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary and equity that reflect your skills and experience.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Work remotely from anywhere in the world. Must be primarily located in the US.

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health benefits and generous PTO.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for learning, training, and attending industry conferences.

  • Meaningful Impact: Shape the future of secure access and make a difference in cybersecurity.

If you’re excited to be part of a fast-growing security company and help shape the future of access control, we’d love to hear from you!
